Hindu Minority situation in Bangladesh

Bangladesh, A independent country for more than 44 years. In 1971, The people of East Pakistan realize that religion can't be a matter of social harmony. When 1947 Indian subcontinent was divided in two part according to religion. Pakistan got freedom on 14th august in 1947 on the basis of Muslim majority and India got freedom on 15th august on the majority Hindu basis. but truth is, after liberation India upheld non-communal constitution, on the other hand, Pakistan upheld religious based constitution and known as Islamic country.

But after liberation, people of east Pakistan was facing a lot of discrimination. They started protesting against those. Time goes on and in 1971 people of east Pakistan got independent with a hard battle with mighty Pakistani army. Bangladesh was a non-communal based newly independent country.

in 1971, Father of the nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was brutally killed by pro-Pakistani minded army personals. Wheels of history again turns into back. communal thinking took position.

day by day situation of minority of Bangladesh get worsen.

At present Sheikh Mujib's daughter's Sheikh Hasina government is in power. they are trying to upheld non-communal theory. But situation changed a lot. Its very difficult for present govt. to upheld non-communal constitution.

Anti Hindu minority community (Muslim group) continuously attacked hindu area in Bangladesh. They raped and converted hindu girls and women. They destroyed a lot of renowned hindu temple in Bangladesh.

It is a very shameful matter that no govt. take strong steps against those miscreant. Hindu minority people live in Bangladesh with a lot of threat in every time.
